Brian Chalifour is a student at the University of Maine who has aspirations to obtain a profession affiliated with the media. He was originally born in Beverly Massachusetts where he grew up until his sophomore year of high school. He then relocated with his family to a small town in southern Maine and attended secondary school at Noble High-School. It was then he spurred his interest in film and movie production. This new found interest went well with the foundation of his life-long interest in writing. Brian has always wanted to be a writer ever since he began school. He was published in a local newspaper by the fourth grade. After exploring many different areas of storytelling he realized that expressing himself through the art of moving pictures was for him. The road to his career is still just beginning but he has had some experience in these fields.
Most experience Brian has in the writing field is from classes he has taken. He also has written for the Maine campus as well as some literary magazines. He has taken classes in writing and english throughout high-school and college. For his future, Brian’s biggest concern about his career is whether or not he enjoys it. Confuscious once said, “Choose a job you like, and you will never have to work another day in your life”. So Brian is focusing on mixing his hobbies and his career interests into one. By mixing hobbies and work there is a better chance you will love your job and continually be interested in it. As for hobbies, Brian has many. He picked up golf for the first time this summer and has been addicted to it. Golf is a good sport to know in the working world, being able to network on the golf course is always profitable for one’s career. Brian also enjoys being active such as working out and playing on the University of Maine Ultimate Frisbee team. Although Brian has a mix of various interests and places he’s been, he realizes that the rad is a lot farther and much work is needed to achieve these goals.
